| New Announcements/ Reminders * There were some problems with out school's network on Friday, and it appears that the Parent Command Center is still down as I am unable to update grades. Hopefully that will be resolved this weekend. * If your child is absent, please call the elementary office if you would like missed assignments to either be sent to the office for pick-up or be sent home with a sibling. We will not automatically send work home with other brothers/sisters at school. * Tuesday we will allow students to spend some time handing out their valentines. Students should bring 29 valentines and/or candies - one for every student in the class. * Our class supply of loose-leaf paper is beginning to get low. If you can, please send a package of paper with your child. Also, check with your child to be sure their supply of pencils is sufficient. * Students are encouraged to practice their multiplication and division facts by visiting some of the online educational game sites listed in the Internet Links page. I especially like Timez Attack which is a FREE game that parents can download for students to practice those facts in a video game setting. * Our Parent Conference/ Teacher In-service day will be Thursday, March 22. Due to conferences that Mrs. Cindy and I are required to have, we may not have time for very many other conferences. Just after report cards are issued, I will setup the online sign-up if there will be time left for other conferences. *IOWA reviewing will begin approximately 2 weeks prior to testing. During that time, I will not have lessons/tests in some subjects so we can use class time to go over skills the test will cover. IOWA testing is April 2-5. Students will not have homework or tests during testing week. I have a large supply of #2 pencils used for testing, so students will NOT need to bring pencils. |
